Key to victory in Kashmir is war on Indian cities: Al-Qaida in a video
If it is attacked in Kolkata, Bangalore and New Delhi, India will come to its senses and release its grip on Kashmir, said Al-Qaida's Usama Mahmoud in a video
The only way to victory in Kashmir lies in waging a war on Indian cities, Islamist militant organisation Al-Qaida said in a shocking video released online by Jihadist forums on Tuesday.
As “India is already using 600,000 troops just to hold on to Kashmir," Usama Mahmoud, the group’s second-in-command in the Indian subcontinent, warned: “if it is attacked in Kolkata, Bangalore and New Delhi, it will come to its senses and release its grip on Kashmir.”
Mahmoud claims that it is necessary that the "the jihadi movement becomes strong at the level of the subcontinent, and Muslims in the whole region stand behind the Kashmiri people.”
On Monday, another militant organisation named Al-Qarar released a video pledging alliance to the Islamic State’s head Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as reported by Scroll.
In that video, an armed militant who called himself Abu-ul-Braa Kashmiri urged Zakir Musa to join the jihadist group Islamic State. The alleged video had been filmed with an unsteady hand.
From the background of the video, it appears to have been made near the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar — an area where Islamic State flags appeared during mass protests last year, The Indian Express reported.
On December 3, the Al-Qaraar group released a poster threatening attacks in India, the Hindu said in a report.
Both Islamic State and Al-Qaeda have been posting several provocative messages to promote their propaganda in India, the Hindu reported earlier.
Recently, Al-Qaida's Indian subcontinent unit has launched a video titled 'Saffron Terror', the contents of which include morphed images and clips that are communally charged.
