Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday will visit Guntur and Prakasam districts to take stock of the damage caused due to the untimely rains and the consequent floods in the state.
During his visit, the chief minister will take up aerial survey and review the rescue, relief and restoration operations in the affected areas.
Reddy has directed state chief secretary PK Mohanty and the official machinery to distribute 10 kg rice, enhancement of financial assistance for clothing and utensils to Rs 5,000 from Rs 3,000 besides two litre of kerosene to the affected families.
The victims include evacuees from low-lying areas, fishermen and handloom weavers.
