Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy would be organising Konkani Sahitya Sammelan here tomorrow. Veteran writer and Nrupatunga award winner Veerabhadrappa would inaugurate the Sammelan, Konkani Sahitya Academy president Roy Castelino said in a statement here.
Konkani writer Edwin Netto will preside. Associate Professor in Karnataka University, Shobha Neelavar, MLA J R Lobo, MLC Ivan D’Souza and others would take part in the inaugural, he said.
Various achievers in the language would be honoured during the programme. A mega novel, ‘Unya Bhavadthache’ by Edwin J F D’Souza and ‘Ayeraso Book’ and a collection of poems by Andrew L D Cunha would be released on the occasion.
A colourful cultural procession would be taken out to mark the valedictory function at 4 pm on the same day, Castelino said.
