The Justice B Padmaraj Commission, appointed by the Karnatak Univesity Chancellor to probe into the alleged irregularities in univesity, has stepped up its second round of inquiry.
According to sources, several organisations and individuals are coming forward with documents and evidences before the Commission and presenting them in sealed covers. The second-phase of the probe pertains to appointments made in the university to fill various posts during October 25,2010 and October 24,2014, when H B Walikar was the vice-chancellor.
The members of the Save University Action Committee had levelled serious allegations against Walikar of favouring some candidates, while appointing them as associate professors and assistant professors.
