US air travel returns to normal after technology breakdown

US air travel returned mostly to normal Thursday, a day after a computer system that sends safety information to pilots broke down and grounded traffic from coast to coast.

By late morning on the East Coast, only about 100 flights had been canceled and 1,000 delayed much lower figures than on Wednesday, when more than 1,300 flights were scrubbed and 11,000 delayed.

PFI conspiracy case: NIA conducts searches at multiple locations in Rajasthan

The National Investigation Agency on Thursday carried out searches at nine locations in Rajasthan in a case related to a conspiracy by the banned Popular Front of India (PFI) to promote hatred among different religious groups and commit terrorists acts in the country, an official said.

The searches were conducted at four places each in Jaipur and Kota and one in Sawai Madhopur district, leading to the seizure of digital devices (mobile phones, SIM cards), sharp-edged knives, and incriminating material, literature and posters, a spokesperson of the NIA said.

3 CRPF commandos injured in IED blast during anti-Naxal ops in Jharkhand

Three CRPF commandos were injured in an IED blast triggered by Maoists in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district on Thursday, a senior police officer said.

The incident happened in the afternoon in Tumbahaka forest in the Tonto police station area when an anti-Naxal operation was underway following a similar blast on Wednesday in which six commandos of the CRPF's elite CoBRA unit were injured, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said.

Significant rise in max temperatures as heavy snowfall, rain elude Himachal

A SpiceJet flight flying from Delhi to Pune is being searched after a phone call claimed that there was a bomb on plane. The plane was supposed to take off from Delhi's IGI Airport at 6.30 pm today, reports NDTV.

The AAP has been issued a notice for recovery of Rs 163.62 crore for its political advertisements allegedly published in the garb of government advertisements, said PTI citing sources. There is no evidence of a cyberattack, the White House said on Wednesday following hours of grounding of flights in the United States by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to a technical system failure.
