According to primary reports and special establishment police sources, documents pertaining to three houses in various posh localities and acres of land in Bhopal and nearby town Raisen in name of his family members have also been seized.
A team from the Lokayukta's special police establishment (SPE) reached Sharma's official residence and began the search this morning.
The SPE sources said that cash, vehicles and jewellery and documents of investment in various companies and related to bank accounts were also found in search.
The documents seized from his residence suggest that he had purchased acres of land in some village in nearby Raisen district in 2014. A cash amount of Rs three lakh has also been recovered from his house.
According to government sources he was in service in the department for the last 30 years and his total salary bill might not have been more than Rs 80 lakh. The special police establishment sources also said that few documents of his undisclosed bank accounts have also been seized.
