West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi she would raise the state's financial crisis and Ganga erosion problem, seeking more funds to tackle them.
Before leaving for New Delhi, the chief minister told reporters, "If I get an appointment either today or tomorrow, I will discuss the Ganga erosion problem and will ask for funds to deal with the problem of river erosion."
Banerjee last week met Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi to discuss the strategy for presidential polls.
