Playback legend Manna Dey is responding to treatment and "slightly improving", sources at the hospital here where he is undergoing treatment for age-related complications said today.
"Mannada's (Manna Dey's popular name) condition is slightly improving and not deteriorating," a spokesman for Narayana Hrudayalaya where he was admitted on Saturday last, said.
Dey was responding to the treatment which is "a good sign and we hope he will be back soon," he said.
The 94-year-old Dadasaheb Phalke awardee, who has sung over 3,500 songs in various languages, was hospitalised for chest infection after his health deteriorated, prior to which he was being treated at his home for the past couple of weeks. Dey was admitted to the same hospital for 20 days last month.
