In a bid to attract the IT firms to the state finance minister Amit Mitra met some top executives of IT firms on Thursday on the sidelines of 14th ICT organised by the CII eastern region. The executives included Dinesh Malkani, President of Cisco India and SAARC, Mr Sanjeev Vohra, Managing Director of Accenture; Debashis Chatterjee, President - Technology Solutions, Cognizant Technology Solutions; Tanmoy Chakrabarty, Vice President & Global Head - Government Business Unit, TCS. "The interactions were extremely fruitful. We discussed their possible participation in a range of projects - from smart cities to healthcare and education in rural areas. They knew what they precisely want to do in our state. I am very positive about the outcome of our discussions today," said Mitra. He added that a 60-day deadline has been set up for the discussions to bear results.
