Modi's mother's blessings: Do development of the nation

BJP was leading on 277 seats while the Congress was leading on 47 seats by 1 pm

Hiraba Modi, mother of BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi, on Friday blessed him and expressed confidence that his son will lead the country towards development as the next Prime Minister.

"Do development of the nation that is my blessings," Hiraba Modi told to Narendra Modi.

"My blessings are with him," said she.

BJP was leading on 277 seats while the Congress was leading on 47 seats, according to updates on the website of the Election Commission of India by 1 PM.

Modi was leading in both Varanasi and Vadodara Lok Sabha constituencies. In Vadodara, he was leading Congress' Madhusudan Mistry by nearly 5.67 lakh votes.

BJP President Rajnath Singh spoke to Modi and congratulated him.
