Having registered a victory in the assembly polls on Thursday, Narendra Modi met his bete-noire and predecessor, Keshubhai Patel, who floated his own party against BJP in Gandhinagar.
"It would be more apt to say that he had come to seek blessings after his victory. We exchanged sweets and I wished him good luck," said Patel, who had strongly opposed the Gujarat chief minister during his campaigning prior to the elections.
After registering a thumping victory in the state assembly elections with over 115 seats, Narendra Modi went to meet his mother in the afternoon to seek the blessings.
Soon after meeting his mother in Gandhinagar in the afternoon today, Modi went to Patel's residence there. The two shared some light moments together and inquired about each-others' health.
