Srinivasan, the vice chairman of India Cements, has been selected unanimously to the position. It may be noted that he did not contest in the last BCCI election, after the Supreme Court came down heavily on the alleged conflict of interest for handling the responsibilities as the BCCI President and also having stake in India Cements, which owned the Chennai franchisee in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The other office-bearers took charge include Kasi Viswanathan as Secretary and Vice-Presidents including K S Aghoram, U Prabhakar Rao, P S Raman, according to reports.
