The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs 1,205 crore to Andhra Pradesh and Rs 900 crore to Telangana out of the Rs 25,000-crore Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).
These will be utilised for creation of 43 hospitals in AP whereas in Telanagana the amount would be spent on the construction of six polytechnics, 26 junior colleges, 13 roads and 33 bridges, said Jiji Mammen, chief general manager of Nabard.
It also announced sanction of warehouse construction for an additional storage capacity of 1.2 million tonnes in 1,037 locations in Telangana.
