The NASSCOM (The National Association of Software and Services Companies) 10K Start-up Program in partnership with the Telangana government today inaugurated the T-Hub NASSCOM Start-up Warehouse in Hyderabad.

A start-up warehouse is an incubator and co-working space for technology start-ups and early stage product companies at a reasonable cost. The co-working space allows early-stage technology start-ups to work for 6-12 months during which it will facilitate demos and pitches by start-ups to investors, large corporates among others.

The 10,000 start-ups program has initiated start-up warehouses across different states to create a micro-ecosystem where many start-ups and entrepreneurs can work together and share their experiences with each other. The first start-up warehouse was started in the country in Bengaluru in 2013, followed by similar facilities in other cities including Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Kochi, and Gurgaon. NASSCOM's 10,000 Startups programme is supported by Google, Microsoft, IBM, AWS and Kotak.

The 10,000 Startups was an ambitious programme initiated by Nasscom to scale up the start-up ecosystem in India by ten-fold over the next 10 years. The initiative seeks to bring together key stake holders of the ecosystem including start-up incubators, accelerators, angel investors, venture capitalists, start-ups, support groups, mentors, and technology corporations.

T-Hub, an incubation facility for technology startups, was set up in public private partnership between the state government and three premier academic institutes, namely, IIT-Hyderabad, Indian School of Business(ISB) and National Academy of Legal Services and Research(NALSAR) University. T-Hub aims to act as a catalyst in building Hyderabad as a start-up city of Telangana.
