Eligibility criteria
Interested candidate must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or any equivalent qualification recognised by Central Government. They should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on April 20, 2017.
They should have scored at least 60 per cent marks in either of the degree examination. SC and ST candidates should have scored a minimum of 55 per cent.
The minimum age of the aspirant as on March 1, 2017 should be 21 years while the maximum age should not be over 30 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is as per the government rules.
Examination fees
For general category, the exam fee is Rs 600 and for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates it is Rs 100.
Emoluments and benefits
The starting basic pay would be Rs. 32,795. Total emolument will be approximately Rs 51,000 per month in metropolitan centers. Other benefits such as pension under New Pension system governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules. The officers are also entitled for company’s or leased accommodation as per norms.
Selection process
NICL will conduct the preliminary examination on either June 3 or 4, 2017. The phase II online main examination will be held for successful candidates tentatively on July 2, 2017.
Post the interview round, the successful candidates will join NICL for a minimum period of four years including one year of probation. In case the candidate plan to end the contract, he/ she has to pay one year’s gross salary in addition to an amount of Rs 25,000 towards the partial cost of training.

Preliminary examination will consist objective tests for 100 marks and will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration.

Candidates have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks as decided by the company. Adequate number of candidates in each category will be shortlisted for the main examination.
Main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks and descriptive test for 30 marks. Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online. The objective test conducted for 2 hours duration consists of 5 sections for total 200 marks. The descriptive test conducted for 30 minutes duration with 30 marks will be a test of English language and will be conducted through on line mode.

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the descriptive test evaluation. There will also be a separate cut-off marks for the Descriptive Test.
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview round on the basis of overall marks scored in the main examination.
The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the online main examination (objective and descriptive section) and interview. The weightage (ratio) of online main examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
