Asserting that the need of the hour is to become an agent of change, Narendra Modi on Thursday called for experiments to create an atmosphere where everyone can contribute.
Addressing the Civil Servants on Civil Services Day, the Prime Minister said, "Only being an administrator and controller is not enough, let us create an atmosphere where the energy of 125 crore Indians can be used to take the nation ahead."

"It is important to create trust among the people in all districts of the nation. We should work to overcome all obstacles," he added.
Modi further said the initiatives have succeeded when 'Jan Bhagidari' is embraced.
Stating that engaging with the civil society is very important, he called for competitive cooperative federalism among the states so that more development can be ensured.
He asked the civil servants to work with strength and dedication, saying they can transform the country by working in a positive direction.
"What you are doing is not a 'job' it is a service," he said.
