The Odisha Council of Ministers has approved the Supplementary Budget for 2012-13. Finance minister Prasanna Acharya will present the Supplementary Budget on November 29, two days after the commencement of the state assembly’s winter session on November 27. Earlier, the state finance department had tentatively pegged the size of the Supplementary Budget at Rs 1,951.43 crore, barely 40 per cent of the additional expenditure size of Rs 4,724.62 crore for the last fiscal. The department has decided to refuse provisions for departments whose expenditure has not exceeded 30 per cent by the end of September.
