One person was killed and five others injured in an industrial accident in the power plant of Neyveli Lignited Corporation (NLC) today.
According to an official from Neyveli Police Station, a steam pipeline in the facility burst today morning. Selvaraj (53), Chief Manager at the plant, was killed in the accident while five others were injured. Three of them were rushed to Apollo Hospital in Chennai, while two others are admitted in the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Science, Puducherry.
The injured are sustaining injury from hot liquid sprayed over their body during the pipeline burst, said a police official.
