Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and union minister for heavy industries Praful Patel on Wednesday said senior ministers in the government, bureaucrats and IAS officers are wary of decision making in the wake of over activism which has gone in many quarters.
Lack of decision making is sending wrong signal which is not at all good for the country.
He was commenting on the controversy erupted after the FIR lodged by CBI against Aditya Birla Gorup chief Kumar Mangalam Birla and former coal secretary P C Parakh in connection with the allocation of coal block to Hindalco in Orissa.
Patel strongly defended the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh saying that his personal integrity, intelligence and skills to lead the country should not be questioned. Patel's support to Singh came after his party boss and union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar last week had criticised opposition parties for demanding Singh's resignation. Pawar had termed opposition's demand as mischievous.

Patel, who formally launched NCP's social media and website, told reporters that the decisions taken should not be questioned after 5-10 years as it may send wrong signal. "I have no comment to make on the judiciary or court monitored investigations. One thing is clear that psychosis needs to be dispelled,'' he said. However, he hoped that the present situation may lead to a better future.
