Oxford University Press (OUP), the world’s largest university press, unveiled Oxford Educate, digital aid for schools today. Oxford Educate is a digital aid that integrates an e-book with interactive teaching tools and learning materials.

This digital aid incorporates a variety of resources: interactive animations, videos, poem and prose animations and audios for ELT courses, instructional slide shows, lesson plans, answer keys, additional worksheets, image references among others.

Used in conjunction with the embedded tools available in the Oxford Educate platform, the interactive resources organised around the digitized coursebooks with page-by-page linkages, will enable teachers to enrich, supplement, and transform teaching -learning in the classroom," said OUP in a statement.

Oxford Educate comes with a Test Generator, an assessment tool designed to benefit teachers by enabling them to create a variety of test papers.

As the interactivities built into the Oxford Educate platform are intrinsically connected to the coursebook, the teacher can engage students with intensive auditory and visual stimuli in combination with associated learning and testing activities. It is provided free of cost to schools using the OUP course books.

Casper Grathwohl, Senior Vice President, Group Strategy said, "Demand for digital content in classrooms is increasing and we have responded to this with the innovative Oxford Educate program. Through a variety of interactive video, ebook, and multimedia tools Oxford Educate has been designed to capture the imagination of teachers and students alike. We are confident this will enrich the classroom experience and better prepare students for the challenges they face in today's digital world."
