Pakistan's Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said India is unlikely to be granted Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status before 2014 Lok Sabha elections in wake of public pressure following the Line of Control (LoC) incidents in Jammu and Kashmir.

Dar said the process of resumption of composite dialogue has also been 'put on hold' for now keeping in view the public sentiments, the Nation reports.

Dar further added that he believes it may be difficult for political parties of India to take steps in a more proactive way because of some practical constraints, but Pakistan is ready to initiate composite dialogue as soon as possible.
