Punjab deputy CM to meet industrialists in Chennai and Hyderabad today

For highlight investment opportunities in Punjab, putting the state on the fast track of industrial growth

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal will be meeting top industrialists in Chennai and Hyderabad on Thursday and Friday to highlight investment opportunities in Punjab, putting the state on the fast track of industrial growth,

Badal is due to arrive in Chennai on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, he will visit Tube Investments' Muruguppa Group, followed by a high-level discussion with Prathap C. Reddy, chairman of Apollo Hospitals. He would be holding a one-to-one meeting with Ashok Dhawan of Flextronics followed by one with TAFE group chairwoman Mallika Srinivasan. While visiting the Rane Group of industries, Badal will also have discussions with its chairman, Harish Laxman, under the tag of investments in Punjab.

On Friday, Badal would be in Hyderabad, where he would start his day by holding a meeting with Uday Naidu, COO of GMR (MRO), followed by a meeting with Deepanwita Chattopadhyay of IKP (ICICI Knowledge Park) and Amritanshu Roy of Alexandria Biotech Park.

Later in the evening, Badal will also meet Prabhakar Rao of Nuziveedu Seeds and officials of the GVK group. He will also hold detailed discussions on the reasons for investing in Punjab with Ashok Atluri of Zen Technologies.

Before embarking on his 2-day tour, Badal said he would showcase the investment opportunities available in Punjab, incentives being provided by the government and most importantly, the congenial business environment in the state.
