NGO Samaj Parivarthana Samudaya (SPS) head S R Hiremath said, he had not yet received any communication from the government regarding the probe against SPS on violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act.

Replying to queries from reporters here on Monday, Hiremath said it was on October 30 that the state government reportedly ordered a probe against his Non-Government Organisation SPS.

"We have not received the notice till date," he said.

He said, he was ready to face any inquiry as it would put an end to the allegations levelled by some individuals and political leaders once and for all. Moreover, the people would also come to know of the truth regarding the affairs of the SPS when any government agency conducts the probe and place the inquiry report on the public domain, he said.

Hiremath said, he had read about the government ordering the probe by the additional chief secretary of co-operation department to enquire into the alleged FCRA violations.

He said, the state government cannot order a probe as the Central government had the right to probe into violation of FCRA.

Hiremath informed that SPS was submitting the audit report every year to the central Government and sending the copies of those report to the state government.

"Let us see what type of probe the state government conducts in this matter," he said. Hiremath said he had faced several such pressure tactics but ever remained firm to his chosen cause.

"It may be one more testing time. We have nothing to worry, nothing to fear. We will continue our work with renewed vigour," he said.
