Stressing on the need to have good governance along with providing qualitative services to the citizens of the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day Speech at the Red Fort in New Delhi, said that it is time that we move from Swarajya (self rule) to Surajya (good rule).
PM Modi also said that his government's mantra is to reform, perform, transform.
Stating that many senior leaders sacrificed their lives to attain Swarajya, now the shift to Surajya needs to be done quickly and in a fast-paced manner. “We need to increase the quality of work and speed up its implementation processes,” he said.
