Rehearsal for Mars Mission to start tomorrow at Sriharikota

The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) is planning to carry out a launch rehearsal, for the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), tomorrow at the First Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The final count down will begin on November 3 morning.
 
PSLV C-25 Mission Director P Kunhikrishnan said Isro would carry out a launch rehearsal tomorrow at 6.08 am and except for pressing the ignite button, all other procedures would be checked to see whether all preparations are in place.
 
Satellite battery check-up, withdrawing of mobile service tower and checking various technical parameters, including electrical activities would be part of the launch rehearsal, he said.
 
The rehearsal would go through the last 8.5 hour simulation of the 56.5 hours countdown. The PSLV C-25 carrying the Mars Orbiter spacecraft is expected to be slated for lift-off at 2.36 p.m. on November 5.
