The Supreme Court has issued notices to the bodies concerned on a plea seeking to re-conduct the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) 2015-16, alleging irregularities in the medical qualifying examination.
A vacation bench of Justices A K Sikri and U U Lalit sought responses from the Centre, Haryana government and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on the alleged irregularities in the examination conducted on May 3, PTI reported .
The petitions was filed by Tanvi Sarwal through senior advocate Prashant Bhushan.
In the petition Sarwal said, the investigation carried out by the special investigation team of Haryana into the alleged leak of answer papers has revealed that the accused gang operated in different states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The AIPMT examination is a qualifying examination for admissions to medical and dental courses in India.
The apex court has posted the pleas for hearing on May 21.
