Security has been beefed up in Bangalore, country's information hub, in the wake of the serial blasts in Buddhist pilgrimage town of Bodh Gaya and Maha Bodhi Temple complex early today that left two monks injured.
Police Commissioner Bangalore City, Raghavendra Auradkar said here that officers and personnel of the police department had been directed to make adequate bandobast in places of high footfalls including railway stations, airports, malls, shopping complexes.
Also additional security has been provided in places of worship besides the information technology companies and national institutions like Indian Institute of Science and Indian Space Research Organisation.
"The police officers have also been asked to have a dialogue with the community leaders to prevent any law and order situation and maintain peace and harmony," he said.
