With river Ganga flowing above danger mark in areas of Patna and other places, Patna Saheb MP Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday took stock of the situation and urged the state government to make arrangements for the marooned people.

Sinha paid a visit to Rajapur Pul and Kurji areas here, which is part of his Patna Saheb Lok Sabha seat and faced threat of water from river Ganga.

"I urge the state government to make concrete arrangements for the flood affected people on time," Sinha told Press Trust of India.

"I know that the Nitish Kumar government is sensitive towards providing relief to the flood-hit people, and I urge the government to complete the arrangements soon," he said.

Patna is on brink of flood as water level went above danger level reminding the days of 1975, when the state capital was hit by flood, Sinha said.

The actor-turned Parliamentarian said he would be in touch with the people and will take stock of the situation regularly.

The Patna Saheb parliamentary constituency comprises many areas on river bank of Ganga, which face threat of flood with the rise in water level of the river.

Sinha was here for past four days in connection with his play 'Pati, Patni aur Mein' which was conducted on Friday in presence of Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav.
