India can never have enough of Sachin Tendulkar. No wonder, he continues to break records even after bidding adieu to cricket.
His autobiography, Playing It My Way, entered the Limca Book of Records for being the best-selling hardback and the trailer of his upcoming biographical movie, Sachin A Billion Dreams, has been viewed about five million times on YouTube alone.
But, what could be a better way of reliving the cricketing journey of the Master Blaster than playing it like a game. Tendulkar will soon be featured in Sachin Saga, a mobile game being developed by PlayIzzOn Technologies — the gaming arm of JetSynthesys — at its studios in Pune and the US. The partnership has been initiated in association with Fluence, a celebrity digital network in India.
The games would relive the Sachin story. Rajan Navani, vice-chairman and managing director of Pune-based JetSynthesys, released the teaser of the game on Friday. “…We are confident of developing this game into a world-class product and doing justice to the legacy Sachin has left behind in the field of cricket,” said Navani.
“It is exciting to have my first digital game being developed. We have partnered with PlayIzzOn to create Sachin Saga, an exclusive gaming experience for all. I am involved with different things and this experience will be something all of us will enjoy together,” Sachin Tendulkar stated.
JetSynthesys operates through MereeDhun for music, PlayIzzOn for gaming, Wakau in partnership with CA Media Digital for celebrity video blogging, among others.
Last year, Jetsynthesys acquired Pune-based gaming company Xerces Technologies, developer of popular games across various app stores such as Cricket Unlimited, StickMan Fighter and movie-based game Bang Bang.
Sachin Saga will not only be available on Android, iOS and Windows-powered smartphones but also be released on consoles. The final version is expected to come in the next five to six months. However, enthusiasts will be able to download the prequel within next three months.
