Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal today said Samajwadi Party had forgotten its pre-poll promise of uninterrupted power supply in Uttar Pradesh and people "would teach them a lesson" in the next polls.
"SP had promised that if it comes to power, there will be no power cuts. People voted it on this basis, but after coming to power, the party has forgotten its promises," Jaiswal, who participated in a protest here against frequent power cuts in big cities of the state, said.
"People will teach them (SP) a lesson in the next polls," the Coal Minister said.
Jaiswal claimed that frequent power cuts were affecting industries in the state.
On questions about the JPC report on 2G scam, the Minister said till the report was not tabled in Parliament, he would not comment on it.
