The admit cards of the Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) paper 2 examination are out. Registered candidates can download the same from the official website of the SSC (ssc.nic.in) through its regional portals.
To be conducted on July 24, 2016, the paper 2 is for all those candidates that have cleared the paper 1 of the SSC JE examination. More details about the exam are available on www.ssc.nic.in.
JE paper 2 admit card
An authorised state agency, SSC has been conducting various exams over the years to recruit staff for various posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India and subordinate offices.
Earlier, the commission had issued a notification regarding the recruitment of 1000 JE post and invited the aspirants. The notice was for filling up the vacancies in civil, electrical, mechanical and various other departments.
A large number of candidates had applied for SSC JE 2015. Originally scheduled for December 2015, SSC conducted the paper 1 examination in the month of January 2016. Reportedly, around 3, 08, 852 candidates appeared in this examination.

The hall ticket contains the details regarding venue, time, date, roll number, etc. All candidates should note that entry to the examination hall will not be allowed without the admit card and an ID proof.
SSE JE exam
Selection of candidates is done on the basis of total marks in the written examination (500 marks) and personal interview (100 marks). Candidates who qualify in the written exam, both paper 1 and paper 2, will be called for the personal interview round.
The interview will be held at several places as decided by the Commission. SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid travel allowance (TA) as per government orders. However, no TA is payable to any candidate for appearing in the written examination.
After making the cut, the finally recruited will be on probation for a period of two years after which they will be confirmed to their posts. During the probationary period, the candidates would be required to complete certain tests and pass examinations.
SSC JE application form 2016
The SSC JE application form 2016 is scheduled for release on August 20, 2016. The last date for submission will tentatively be September 16, 2016. The candidates can only apply through online mode. Fees are to be paid through SBI Challan, net banking, credit or debit cards. The application fee is Rs 100.
