Telangana IT minister K Tarakarama Rao today laid the the foundation stone for T-Hub incubation centre at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) here.
The centre is being set up in collaboration with IIIT, Hyderabad, Nalsar University of Law and the Indian School of Business (ISB).
Expected to be operational by June this year, it would be the biggest centre for start-up and entrepreneurship activities in the country, the minister said.
In Phase-II, starting from 2017 onwards, the centre will have its own campus in an area of 300,000 square feet, providing services to 1,000 start-ups by 2020.
Rao said the fund corpus of T-Hub would be Rs 300 crore by 2017, and would be doubled in the next three years. While the ISB would provide business mentoring, IIIT will take care of technology mentoring and Nalsar would help in intellectual property.

Phase I of the hub, coming up with an estimated Rs 35 crore, will spread over 60,000 square feet and can house 400 start-ups by 2017.
