The Goa NCP unit today said if the BJP-led government has proof of involvement of former Congress Chief Ministers in illegal mining in the state then action should be taken against them.

"Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had announced that he would put behind bars former Congress Chief Ministers who were allegedly involved in illegal mining," NCP's Goa unit chief spokesman Trojan D'Mello told reporters on Thursday.

"If he has proof, law should take its course and they should be arrested," D'Mello said. The NCP leader also blamed Parrikar for the current limbo on the mining scenario.
