U'khand Guv flags off relief material for flood-hit areas

The truck included medicines, water bottles and 'Ready to Eat' food materials

Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi today flagged off two trucks carrying relief material including food, water bottles and medicines for disaster affected people from Raj Bhawan here this morning.

The relief material worth Rs 20 lakh were sponsored by Nestle Company and received by Udham Singh Nagar branch of Indian Red Cross Society Uttarakhand.

The second truck was sent by Progressive Farmers' Forum, Faridabad, Haryana through Harsh Kohli.

In an expression of solidarity with the deluge hit people of Uttarakhand several organisations are donating to the CM Relief Fund.

Muslim Community and organisations of Haridwar donated Rs 2 lakh through Haji Nayeem Qureshi and Haji Rafiq Khan.
