UP govt transfers 8 IAS officers

In the second administrative reshuffle within a week, the Uttar Pradesh government oday transferred eight IAS officials, including a District Magistrate.

Under the orders issued on Thursday, UP Public Service Commission Secretary B B Singh has been sent to Jhansi as the Divisional Commissioner, an official spokesperson said.

Similarly, Azamgarh DM R P Arora will be the new Director of NEDA. He will be replaced by Director (Census) Neena Sharma. Director of ESI Medical Services Usha Raman Singh has been transferred as Special Secretary (Technical Education).

Vice-Chairman of Saharanpur Development Authority Avinash Gaur will take over as Special Secretary in the Cooperative Department, while Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority Vice Chairman Nidhi Kesarwani has been put on waiting list.

Special Secretary (Transport) Adarsh Singh has been shifted to the Rural Development Department in the same capacity. Special Secretary (Irrigation) Pushpa Singh has been transferred as Managing Director of PCF. On May 6, the state government had transferred 10 IAS officers.
