Good quality of sugarcane will ensure good cost for their produce, he said.
Keeping the welfare of the farmers in mind, private mills have been given orders to make payment of pending amount to farmers before processing and if need be the government shall provide them with a loan through co-operative banks, the CM said. Rawat said that to ensure timely payment to sugarcane growing farmers, help is also expected from the Union government.
Though sugar mills have been relieved of several taxes by the state government, he said efforts are also being made to solve the problems which are being raised due to no increase of prices of sugar in the national market and difference in the cost of sugar produce and their MRP, an official release here said.
