WTC-GIFT City, Gujarat's first World Trade Center coming up at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City has entered into strategic agreement with Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) through World Trade Center India Services arm, Verbind.
Through this strategic agreement, members of GESIA, primarily small & medium enterprises (SMEs), would get benefit of WTC services including technology adoption and transfer through increased international connectivity. GESIA provides recognized platform for discussions & solutions of common issues related to electronics and software industry; while WTC's focus is on promotion of trade, business and investment - both inbound and outbound.
"Gujarat is emerging Information & Communication Technology (ICT) hub and GESIA provides opportunity to its members to expand their business. Through this agreement, WTC shall assist GESIA members in getting access to global markets and work with GESIA to facilitate investments while ensuring networking opportunities. Apart from business linkages, WTC through their Human Capital development services shall also provide skill development and training workshops to increase their competitiveness," said Khair Ull Nissa, Director, WTCIS.
Ruparel informed that GESIA, which has been representing the voice of the Gujarat ICT industry for over two decades with nearly 500 ICT and Electronics companies of Gujarat as its members will be working with WTC in the areas of skill development, financing entrepreneurs and SMEs, facilitating technology transfer, research and joint product development, international buyer-seller meets etc.
