Ram Devidayal, president of FGI (Federation of Gujarat Industries) addressing the press about his discussions with CM Narendra Modi and other ministers said the discussions were focussed on measures for bringing fresh investments in the state.
He said the state has good good infrastructure, power, skilled workforce but it lacks the requisite marketing skills. He called for help from media for better coverage.
On the energy scenario, he said, the government has called for private-public partnership for mini hydle power projects. Essar, Adani, and Petronet have projects for gas distribution to the industries and the people.

He said lignite should be used for power generation as the state has enough lignite supplies.
Companies such as Gujarat Petronet, Gujarat Petrochemicals would be promoting the use of natural gas so as to reduce the cost of power.
