Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will not attend the meeting of the NDA allies scheduled on Monday in New Delhi because of pre-occupation with state-related business.

"He is pre-occupied with state-related business and has no plan as yet to go to the national capital on Monday," sources said.

"Our national President Sharad Yadav, who is also Convenor of the NDA, is already camping in New Delhi. He will represent the JD(U)'s side during the proposed meeting," party's national spokesman Shivanand Tiwari said.

Kumar had already asserted that his party's alliance with the saffron party in Bihar was 'intact' scotching any possibility to ditch his old ally.

"There is no question of revising the political alliance with the BJP as our alliance has wide acceptablility in Bihar and people have acknowledged the good work done by the NDA government," he had ealier said.

Reflecting on the Lok Sabha poll results in Bihar, Kumar said it was "a mandate for good governance and we (JD-U-BJP combine) will have to work together to complete the unfinished development agenda." The Chief Minister today held a meeting with top officials, including Chief Secretary R J M Pillai and his Principal Secretary R C P Sinha.
