BJP today dubbed Sonia Gandhi's "slave of RSS" comments on its Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani to be a tactic to deviate the issue of a "captive Prime Minister" under UPA regime.
"It is a completely baseless charge. It is an attempt to divert attention from the fact that the nation has a captive Prime Minister in Manmohan Singh," party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here today.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi today upped the ante ridiculing BJP prime ministerial candidate's "strong leader" pitch, saying he cannot take any decision on his own "without the fear of RSS". "It is Advani, who is a slave of RSS because he wants to protect his chair. This is the reason why he panders to each and every wish of RSS," Gandhi said.
Advani have been alleging that Singh was a weak prime minister and that he cannot take any decision without consulting Sonia Gandhi.
