Continuing their dream run in the US, the child actors of 'Slumdog Millionaire' today visited fantasy park Disneyland where American visitors thronged to take their pictures.

"The people here recognise us instantly and start shooting pictures with a visible love and excitement," Tanvi Lonkar, the Mumbai girl who played the teenage role of 'Slumdog' lead actress Latika, told PTI from Disneyland.

Still trying to come to terms with reality in the fantasy land, the 13-year-old Tanvi, who hails from the Western suburb of Goregaon, said the glittering award ceremony and her stay in the US was like an extended dream sequence.

On asked about the adjustments she had to make in the US, Tanvi said, "I did not like the non-veg food here so I preferred to go in for vegetarian food."

"We were told that one can get Indian food if ordered. But it was time consuming and I managed with the available veg items for breakfast and meals," she added.

"Walking on that red carpet in Kodak theatre and the applause has compensated for everything though I felt a little bored in between during the ceremony till the time Slumdog announcement came," Tanvi said. Tanvi's father Ganesh, who accompanied her, said the troupe had a pleasant surprise even while en route to Los Angles as during their halt at London airport "people came and greeted us".

"Everywhere in the US, where security can be cumbersome, Slumdog artistes are being given preference in clearance with a smiling face," he noted, adding that the coverage in the American media had been "tremendous". Back home, Tanvi's mother Sharmila who serves as a para-medical staff in Mumbai's Hinduja hospital, kept on shuffling television channels to get a glimpse of her daughter who looked shy and reticent among the boisterous lot of the Slumdog child artistes on the set.
