'US willing to consider setting up power JVs'

The visiting US commerce secretary is willing to consider the suggestion that American companies should set up joint ventures (JVs) for power equipment manufacturing in India, an official said on Tuesday. US commerce secretary John Bryson, who is heading a business delegation, called on power minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Tuesday. "The US delegation was told that they can come and set up shops in joint-venture format. The US commerce secretary is delibrating on it," the power ministry official said.
