Union minister for communications and information technology Pramod Mahajan said today he was considering a proposal to reduce the percentage of revenue sharing with telecommunications operators from 12 per cent to a global average.
Mahajan told a global conference on telecommunications organised jointly by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) and the ministry of communications it was necessary to rationalise the revenue-sharing arrangement.
