Andhra Pradesh topped the chart with 129 million tourists visiting the state in 2009. “Around 760,000 visitors came to Hyderabad and this year this may increase by 80,000 to 100,000 ,” tourism commi-ssioner Jayesh Ranjan said while inaugurating the 79th Travel and Tourism Fair here on Friday. The three-day fair is an annual event showcasing tourism and trade. The state tourism market made a profit of Rs 400 crore last year, of which Rs 120 crore went to the government and the rest to private players.
