Twenty-four firms in Maharashtra have disbursed a healthy bonus to its employees ranging from Rs 6,300 to Rs 25,000, notwithstanding the recessionary trends, if one goes by data available for 2001-02.
The Kamghar Aghadi, which was in the forefront of the textile strike led by its former president the late Datta Samant, has negotiated a bonus disbursal in the current fiscal that is comparable with the best in the industry.
