The Union finance ministry has notified the changes in the amended Exim policy presented on March 31, which makes operational the lower threshold limit for the zero-duty Export Promotion Capital Goods scheme for the chemicals and pharmaceutical sectors.
However, it has held back notifications in which opinions differed with the commerce ministry. These pertain to the proposed amnesty scheme for meeting export obligations under EPCG and extension of the liberalised EPCG scheme to the plastics and textile sectors.
