4 IAS officials transferred

The Maharashtra government on Thursday transferred four senior Indian administrative service (IAS) officials, including principal secretary (industry, energy and labour) Vishwas Dhumal to the post of principal secretary (water supply and sanitation).

K Shivaji who is the managing director of the state-owned public sector undertaking Mafco, that has been earmarked for disinvestment, has also been transferred to the Maharashtra state finance corporation as managing director.

Similarly, Sicom's managing director V K Jayrath has now been posted in place of Dhumal as secretary (industry, energy and labour).

B S Khatua, principal secretary of water supply and sanitation has been now posted as sales tax commissioner of the state.
