Suspected militants today triggered a powerful bomb explosion in a Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express, killing five people and injuring nine others in upper Assam's Golaghat district.The explosion occurred in a non-airconditioned compartment attached to the luggage van of the 2423A Dibrugarh-Guwahati-Delhi Rajdhani Express between Naujan and Sugajan in the Sarupadhar police station area at around one am, North Eastern railway CPRO Trikal Rabha said.Five people died on the spot while the injured were rushed to Golaghat Civil hospital.The explosion damaged the luggage van and a small portion of the track.The train left around 0700 hrs after passengers in the affected compartment were shifted to a 3 tier AC bogie.The police said the area, where the explosion took place, is dominated by ULFA and Adivasi National Liberation Army of Assam.
