Fifty-nine trips of Delhi Metro services were cancelled in the last 20 days after the extension of the new-age transport system to Noida.
The maximum number of trip cancellations after the extension of services on November 13 was on Dwarka-Noida City Centre (Line three) which recorded 37 such incidents.
There were a total of 9,518 trips on the line, Minister of State for Urban Affairs Saugata Roy informed Lok Sabha.
Sixteen out of 12,058 trips were cancelled on Jahangirpuri-Central Secretariat (Line two) while six out of 9,801 trips on Dilshad Garden-Rithala (Line one) route were cancelled, he said.
The reasons for the technical snags are malfunctioning of certain equipment in rolling stock, signalling system and driver-machine interface (video display unit), he said.
