The onset of early summer season has gone well for the consumer durable companies which have reported surge in sales of air conditioners this year. Launch of new designs and early onset of summers are the major two factors that representatives from most of the consumer durable companies cite for surge in AC sales.
The companies participating in Coolex 2010, an exhibition on air conditioning and refrigeration organised by CII Northern Region, from April 2 to April 5, have reported increase in sales of ACs this year compared with the sales in last year’s exhibition. The companies believe launch of new models in the exhibition coupled with early inception of summer has helped their cause.
